Intelligent Nukers still rox FA farming !!
Just did a usual 5-man run with the usual 1 monk, 1 kegger, 2 Fire Nuker 1 Necro minion build. Works pretty well and none died in around 25min. Sad to say, 0 greens drop lol. Heres how nukers should work now :
Flare
Meteor Shower
Fire Storm
Maelstrom
Fire attunement
Mark of Rodgort
Arcane Echo
Glyph of renewal
which allows them to cast 4 x meteor shower at one burst. (dump those searing heat or other aoe which is quite inferior to firestorm and meteor)
I insisted nukers use only flare + mark of rodgort (nice speed in taking out single creature) in grenth footprint, unless its down to one single boss.
Once inside SF, AOE still work wonders with a kegger. A tiny trick we used is to lure bosses to edge then stand around him, preventing him to move away from AOE and let him RIP.
However i don't think there're much nukers who will listen well and prevent the use of AOE in GF.

Ok, one question, I do not have an elm but like to nuke with my Mesmer ( I do it well I might add)
But how would that build cast 4 x meteor shower at one burst?

4 x meteor ... i thought everyone knows
glyph -> MS -> Arcane Echo -> MS -> Glyph (should be recharge) -> MS ( From arcane echo) -> MS (From glyph on arcane echo)
Fire attunement is very important for nukers though.

Oh ok, Glyph of Renewal is the key.
Thank you
Yeah sometimes I nuke whenever we go to fow with the guild and to also backup the main nuker.

I did an FA run with my fire elem, an MM, a kegger and 2 monks. No one died. Casting 2 meteor showers is more than sufficient. 4 is overkill and makes you useless after that, especially if they run away.

My fire elemantal build reads like this in order:
Flare
Immolate
Fireball
Mark Of Rodgort
Fire Storm
Metoer Shower
Healing Breeze
Healing Hands/Orison Of Healing
Ive found this works pretty good, Fireball and Immolate make a good combo for single enemys. Mark, Metoer shower and firestorm do really well against groups. Ill also use flare if im low on energy.

Flare is pointless if you are going to use Mark of Rodgort - all you need to do is hit them with your Fire Wand or Staff and they stay on fire. I used MoR for my nuke build before the update, and it is a good skill. As far as getting down the hill, I still like my Air/Earth build - and energy isnt a problem if you pace yourself and use Elemental Attunement. It is primarily an anti-tank build, so a second echo nuker is nice to have. :P

I like everything except firestorm, this still causes them to run away, so instead I use Rodgorts Invocation (for some burn time) and fireball instead of flare. Just use staff when you do mark.
For an almost endless energy nuker try:
Elemental Attunement (E)
Fire attunement
Archane Echo
Meteor Shower
Maelstrom
Mark of Rodgort
Rodgorts Invocation
Fireball
This gives you very low energy cost, and 2 repeatable fire skills....4 is a bit overkill.

dont forget to use the glyph of sacrifice if you echo skills with LONG activation time!
glyph of renewal, metheorshower, glyph of sacrifice, Arcane Echo, Meteorshower, glyph of renewal, echoed Meteorshower, glyph of sacrifice, echoed Meteorshower, (3 metheor showers after 15 seconds) Meteorshower, (4, and now youre completely exhausted and pissing of the GOOD players with your waiting time)

There are air combos that are fantastic in FA as well, with little to no agro. I use to dab in air before the AoE (only pvp did i use it). I'm now primarily an air echo glyph nuker. Try it out if you haven't...AoE's are a waste in my opinion when assesing the risks of using them (even with a kegger/book man/gear man).

I had a great group that I farmed with on several runs that had an ele that must've had a build like yours, as I saw him use many similar skills quite succesfully. I still laugh my ass off when people think it's the end of GW as we know it just because enemies try to run from AoE dmg.

simple trick to make monk boss easy again is to surround them with 4 or 5 members and nuke them bad
Glyph -> MS -> Maelstrom -> Arcane echo -> MS -> MS
Never use maelstrom as 1st spell, always throw in one MS at least b4 casting maelstrom
